Abstract: Nonprofits don’t have shareholders, but they do have stakeholders who may have different ways of evaluating an organization’s effectiveness. So a nonprofit needs to ensure that it’s operating efficiently and meeting stakeholders’ expectations. But there’s one measure of nonprofit success that’s proving popular: outcomes.
