Abstract: A common cliché states that the only things certain in life are death and taxes. A new accounting rule will require nonprofits to evaluate and disclose how “certain” they are about the tax positions they’ve taken on their annual tax filings of Forms 990 and 990T as well as on their organization’s activities.
