Abstract: Veteran-owned businesses can be a lucrative market niche for lenders who take the time to understand the owners’ specific military experience and needs. This article looks at some ways lenders can foster lending relationships within the veteran business community, including developing targeted marketing materials, networking with veteran business and franchise owners and sponsoring veteran family events.
